The authorities in the country have documented at least 950 attacks on Muslims and Islamic facilities such as mosques in 2017, the German newspaper Neue Osnabruckner Zeitung reported on Saturday.
"Thirty-three people were injured in the attacks, 60 of which were directed against mosques and some were carried out with the blood of pigs," the paper quoted data provided by the German Interior Ministry to legislators.
"The number of attacks is probably much higher because the victims are often not informed," the head of the Central Council of Muslims Ayman Mezik told the paper.
According to Reuters, "no data were available for comparison with the previous year, because the ministry did not begin to collect separate data on anti-Islamic attacks independently of anti-immigrant attacks." Ending / 25 g
