The General Company of Iraqi Ports responded to the news of the appointment of the sister of Transport Minister Kazem Fattjan Al-Hamami and the sons of the company's officials.
"In response to some commentators who want to offend our ancient company, they have included in their comments some names of the sons of the employees, whose number is not more than 200 of those accepted for appointment. They were chosen by a port committee headed by the assistant director General and qualified members in all disciplines. "
"As for the sister of the minister [Asia], she is the sister of five martyrs, and the wife of the martyred Sheikh Abdul-Warith, and if we compare the number of them, we will find them less than 0.5% of the applicants."
The statement stressed that "the ministry has no income in this nomination because all of them have been subjected to the most stringent controls, and the proportion of the sons of the martyrs are the highest, and the Committee has also taken into account the acceptance of the holders of higher degrees and early graduates, as for the acceptance of the sons of the heroic martyr [Abu Tahseen Salhi] Cabinet decision".
He pointed out that "there is an opportunity to appoint 500 employees also in the coming period in the ports, but the satisfaction of people is very unfulfilled, the applicants of 18 thousand and 150 advanced, want to join them all in the list of 200 and this can not be impossible.
