Sources: Abadi considers freezing the powers of a number of conservatives

Political sources revealed on Tuesday the intention of Prime Minister Haider Abadi freeze the powers of a number of local governments of some provinces, which are witnessing a wave of demonstrations.
The sources told «Journal News» that "Abadi is considering freezing the powers of a number of governors of some provinces in response to the demands of the demonstrators," noting that "one of the demands of the demonstrators to authorize Abadi to run a number of provinces acting after the failure of local governments to provide services."
A number of southern regions are witnessing a wave of angry protests to protest poor services and worsening electricity.
