    The Iraqi cabinet held its regular session on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, where the council discussed the general situation in the country and the file of services, including the recommendations of the committee formed by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. 262 of 2018.
    With regard to the province of Basra, the Council voted on:
    A - Launching the allocations for the province of Basra petrodollar to carry out the services.
    B - disbursement of the province's share of the revenues of border crossings.
    In the water axis, the Council voted on:
    Increasing the water flow through Nazem Qal'at Salih with a level of 75 cubic meters per second and increasing the discharge of water in Al-Bida canal to 7.5 cubic meters per second.
    B - running the water project in Basra at the end of next August, a pilot operation in preparation for full operation.
    C - Rehabilitation of projects and the completion of work projects Umm Qasr and desalination plant FAO and Sihan
    In the medium term, the implementation of projects and the expansion of existing projects provide 580,000 cubic meters per day of potable water.
    E) Continuing the effort in planning and implementing the major strategic projects by benefiting from loans in addition to allocations and budget.
    In the axis of electricity, the Council voted on:
    1 - Give the province of Basra the power to transfer work in projects suspended due to problems associated with lack of funding or the existence of problems raised to eliminate the blocking of work or the dissolution of the contract to the Ministry of Electricity with the continuation of any previous legal or administrative procedures.
    2. Authorizes the governors of the other governorates to take the same action to deal with any similar cases in their governorates.
    The Cabinet discussed the provision of employment opportunities for the sons of Basra province and the rest of the provinces.
    The Council also decided to form a crisis cell to follow up the status of services and the security aspect.
    The Council of Ministers voted on the inclusion of retirees in Cabinet Decision No. 281 of 2017 on the organization of the process of settling salaries of employees in government institutions.
    The Council approved the recommendations on the activation of the law on the care of scientists.     
    The Council of Ministers directed the Ministry of Oil to prepare a comprehensive feasibility study on the project to establish a maritime export base for Iraqi crude oil in coordination with the Ministry of Transport and related bodies and to be submitted to the Council of Ministers.
    A sovereign guarantee was voted for the Maysan Power Plant project.
    The session also witnessed the vote on the sale of plot number 15/19/1970, which belongs to the General Company for Design and Implementation of Projects in the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to its occupants.
