Direct: Wall Street recorded the longest period of a rising market in the history of the United States with the close of trading on Wednesday.
The current bull market, or so-called bull market, started on March 9, 2009, when the S & P 500 hit 676 points on the back of the Great Depression.
    After about 9 1/2 years, the S & P 500 gained 323%.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index, which tracks the performance of 500 major public companies in the United States, closed August 22, 2018 after 3,453 trading days without falling by 20% or more.
The S & P 500 is the measure used by some analysts to determine the length of the bullish market.
The NASDAQ index was the biggest winner with a gain of 611% over the same period, a sign of the strength of the technology sector.
While the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 300% from 2009 to yesterday's close.
Since 2009, the top 5 gainers in the bull market have been GPG, AbiMed, Netflix, Align Technology and Olta Beauty, up 7248%, 7049%, 6114% And 5525% and 5471%, respectively.
The rally is the longest bull market in US history as the global economy continues to recover.
Companies benefited in particular from the US tax law signed by US President Donald Trump in late 2017.
The stock market turns from bears to bulls when stock prices rise by 20% from the previous decline, as the market continues to rise until a 20% decline from the peak stocks are falling.
