The head of the reconstruction fund for the areas affected by terrorist operations, Mustafa al-Hiti, on Tuesday unveiled a project to compensate the owners of the destroyed houses in the liberated areas of 20 thousand dollars and with the support of the World Bank, while confirming that the fund awaits the approval of the government.
"The IMF is working with the World Bank on the reconstruction of destroyed houses in the areas affected by terrorist operations, especially in the right side of Mosul, and the return of displaced persons to their places of origin," Al-Hiti said in an interview with Al-Sabah newspaper. According to the statistics available in those provinces, which are based on the World Bank report to survey the damage and losses, there are more than 150 thousand housing units affected.
"The discussions with the World Bank continue on this project, which includes a soft loan to Iraq over 25 years, the interest rate does not exceed 5.1 percent, which begins payment after five years of the project."
"The cost of this project is $ 2 billion, which can give families with damage rates in their homes 40-50 per cent, $ 10,000 and $ 20,000 for the total damage to homes paid in installments," he said. this project".
