Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has accused Europe of harboring terrorist elements in response to EU sanctions on Iran's intelligence service Tuesday morning.
"The Europeans, including Denmark, the Netherlands and France, harbor members of the PMOI, who killed 12,000 Iranians and incited Saddam's crimes against Iraqi Kurds, as well as other terrorists," Zarif said in a tweet on January 8. They are killing innocent Iranians from Europe. "
"Charging Iran will not absolve Europe of responsibility for harboring terrorists," Zarif said.
Earlier Tuesday, Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen said the EU had agreed to impose sanctions against Iran's intelligence service.
The decision was made by Samuelson because of Iranian intelligence planning of assassination attempts on European soil. End 25 n
