The General Administration of Customs denied on Tuesday that some Iranian goods were granted exemption from customs duties.
The Authority said in an official statement today that "there are no exemptions from customs duties to any country, but all covered by the Customs Tariff Law No. (22) for the year 2010."
It called on the media to be careful in transmitting information.
Local media outlets have published press reports that Tehran has obtained a tax exemption for some goods, coinciding with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif's visit to the country.
