    (AFP) - Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halboussi met with US Defense Secretary Patrick Chanahan on Monday at the Pentagon's official reception.

    The meeting also touched on the need for the efforts of the international community in the reconstruction and stability of the liberated areas and the return of the displaced, thousands of whom are still in the displacement camps, stressing the need to support the Iraqi government to provide services to these areas; to close the file of displacement, And the spread of extremist ideology again, as well as the provision of employment through investment projects; to eliminate unemployment.

    He added that the circumstances are more favorable than any time prior to the reconstruction of Iraq, and it is best to invest this opportunity; for the stability of Iraq, which will contribute to the stability of the region.
