Communications Minister Naeem al-Rubaie announced on Tuesday that the ministry is taking steps to improve the reality of the Internet across the country.
Al-Rubaie said in a press statement that "the ministry has taken steps to improve the service during the next month, relying on the optical cable," charging "monopoly companies responsible for the weakness of the Internet throughout Iraq."
"There is a radical improvement in the Internet service and better quality we have seen this month, but we will help and support some of the companies working in the Ministry of Communications, which works professionally in this area and rely more on FTTS and optical cables."
