Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Monday (November 4, 2024), during his reception of the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, Janet Alberda, a draft memorandum of understanding to establish the Supreme Ministerial Council between the governments of Iraq and the Netherlands.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received today, Monday, the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, Janet Alberda," indicating that "he received a draft memorandum of understanding to establish the Supreme Ministerial Council between the governments of Iraq and the Netherlands, for the purpose of working on ministerial cooperation in all fields, in addition to discussing the issue of the withdrawal of the coalition and entering into bilateral relations between the two countries."
He explained that "the meeting discussed the situation and developments in Lebanon and Gaza, and stressed the importance of seeking to stop the war and deliver relief supplies to the affected areas and those afflicted by the aggression."
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in its statement that "Al-Sudani congratulated the ambassador on assuming her duties in Iraq, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in various fields and working to develop them, in a way that achieves mutual benefit and common interests."
