The Trade Bank of Iraq announced on Sunday the signing of a contract for a special project to localize the salaries of the region’s employees between the bank and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]A statement by the bank stated that this contract came “according to the decisions of the Federal Supreme Court and based on the directives of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani regarding the necessity of the Iraqi Trade Bank’s participation in the process of localizing the salaries of our people, employees of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.”[/size]
[size=45]The “My Account” project allows the employee the freedom to choose the bank in which he wishes to open his account, while in the “Localization” project, a specific bank is designated for the employee pursuant to an agreement between the Ministry, the Accounting Unit, and the bank.[/size]
[size=45]Six private banks are participating in the “Hisabi” project, while five public banks belonging to the state and 38 private banks are participating in the “Localization” project.[/size]
