A member of the Parliament of the Kurdistan region, Bahjat Ali, Thursday, that the federal government requested data on the numbers of elements of the Peshmerga forces to be audited in order to pay their salaries, amounting to 68 billion dinars per month.
Ali told Mawazine News that "the recent visit of Peshmerga Minister Shoresh Ismail during which he held a series of talks with the defense minister, the most important issue of salaries."
He added that "it was agreed to send data on the numbers of elements of the Peshmerga for auditing before approving the disbursement of salaries, estimated at about 68 billion dinars per month, according to the budget law in 2019."
A delegation from the Ministry of Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Regional Government (13/10/2019) visited Baghdad to discuss the disbursement of peshmerga forces.
