BAGHDAD: The parliamentary development committee has finalized a draft law to establish a national company linked to the Ministry of Commerce to deal with the activities of loading and unloading in Iraqi ports, such as Gulf companies affiliated to the public commercial sector.
The economist Ali Mahdawi expressed his "support for this project, which will forever eliminate the combinations of civil companies that lack experience and do not have the most basic elements of logistics skills in line with international standards."
It is now recognized that the ratification of the law establishing the national company for loading and unloading and logistics will open the doors of employment and employment for large segments of the unemployed youth, and will provide full support to Iraqi exporters and importers, and protect them from speculation of the local private sector, which failed to meet the required level.
