US officials announced the death of an American civilian contractor in a missile attack on the Iraqi K1 base near Kirkuk, which hosts American soldiers.
Reuters quoted US officials, whose names were not given, that a number of US military personnel were wounded by the bombing, but it is believed that they returned to service.
On Friday evening, the Security Media Cell announced that a number of shells had landed on the K1 camp in Kirkuk Governorate.
