    BAGHDAD - Mawazine News,
The British ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Hickey, condemned on Wednesday the use of "excessive lethal force" against the demonstrators, calling for restraint and conducting credible investigations into the killing of "600 protesters" so far.
"We condemn the killing and wounding of more demonstrators," Ambassador Stephen Hickey said in a tweet on Twitter.
"There is no doubt that the protesters must maintain their peace, but there is no justification for using excessive lethal force," he added.

British Ambassador to Baghdad Stephen Hayke condemned, on Wednesday, the killing and wounding of more demonstrators in Iraq.
"We condemn the killing and wounding of more protesters. There is no doubt that the protesters must keep them safe, but there is no justification for the use of excessive lethal force, which has so far killed more than 600 protesters," Haiki said in a tweet on his Twitter account.
He added that "there is an urgent need for restraint and to conduct reliable investigations, as well as a practical response to the demands of the demonstrators to achieve reform."
