On Wednesday, an official newspaper reported that Prime Minister Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi had completed his cabinet and government reforms program, pending the holding of the extraordinary parliament session, stressing that he insisted on choosing his cabinet ministers himself.
The newspaper "Al-Sabah", with its issue issued today and seen by him / the information, said, "The Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi is waiting for setting a date for a parliamentary session to give confidence to the formation of the transitional government ministers."
The newspaper added, "The ministerial formation and the government reforms program have been completed, and that Allawi informed the Presidency of the Council of Representatives accordingly, and asked to set a date for a session and invite members of the House of Representatives to vote on the names he chose for the ministries, in addition to the next government program."
She pointed out that "the Presidency of the House of Representatives informed Allawi that the meeting will be held as soon as possible, and that it is consulting with the heads of the parliamentary blocs and members to ensure the passage of the vote of confidence", indicating that "an official statement will be issued to call for an emergency session that Parliament is a constitutional legislative holiday."
