The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Uday Shaalan, confirmed on Thursday that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, will be subject to legal accountability on charges of perjury and constitutional treachery, noting that Saleh has consented to himself violating the constitution more than once, ignoring the prolonged legal accountability.
Shaalan said in a statement to the "information", that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, will be subject to legal accountability for two charges of perjury and constitutional treachery," noting that "Saleh has overlooked large Shiite forces that represent a broad spectrum of the Iraqi people."
He pointed out that "the mechanisms followed by the President of the Republic to assign a polemical person away from the approval of the Shiite majority is a betrayal of the partnership and consensus on which the political process was built in 2003."
The deputy of the Alliance of Fath Muhammad al-Baldawi confirmed in a previous statement to the "information", that all the reasons are available to dismiss the President of the Republic Barham Salih, pointing out that Saleh contradicted his positions and did not come with the candidate of the largest bloc, and therefore he violated the constitution with these positions.
