The Ministry of Oil confirmed, on Tuesday, that Iraq does not ask OPEC to exclude it from production cuts due to its financial conditions.
The spokesman for the ministry, Assem Jihad, said, "The news that was circulated about Iraq seeking to obtain an exception from the reduction of oil production from OPEC countries due to its financial situation is not true."
He added that "the reduction included the producing countries by 23 percent of their production, which was determined in the year 2018, including Iraq."
