Is this old news as it has been announced a long time ago if I am not wrong? Or is it because Al-Kazemi will put a new governor in the central bank ?

It's interesting timing at least. Last year the CBI gov was  appointed  a governor of the AMF and now the chairman of the  board. Back then there was talk of  Sadr's group nominating a new CBI gov and it was brought to parliament but not acted upon. At the same time in the 2019 budget is article 58. Article -58- obliges the government to end the state administration institutions by proxy , except for military and security services no later than 24/10/2019 is any action after this date carried out by the appointed proxy Shall be null and void and shall not have any legal effect, provided that the concerned department suspends all financial allocations and administrative powers in case of continuation after the above mentioned date.

We know that didn't take place with the CBI but should have. I suspect Iran obstructed knowing the auctions would end permanently.  Mahdi didn't force the issue. Since Mahdi's resignation  we have had the series of wannabe's, now we have what looks like the conclusion for PM. They don't have a choice. Failure at this point runs the risk of dissolving the Parliament, not to forget US sanctions linger and the powerbrokers don't want to lose their standing.

Last week there was a report that Sadr's group was promised the CBI

Other: After 30 minutes of prostration, the Central Bank became ours !!

Have we come full circle? looks like it... I expect a new CBI gov either on the same day they vote the government or within days after.
The vote last I saw will be Tuesday... Once the CBI is official as far as I understand new notes are only thing left and should begin to be introduced soon after.

To me, the timing of this announcement is what stands out.
