The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed today, Wednesday, that the disagreement in the draft budget of 2021 is still over the article on the share of the Kurdistan region, noting that the provincial councils caused wasting the budgets of the development of the regions.
MP Mahasin Hamdoun, a member of the committee, said, "The budget dispute is about Article 11 of the region’s share," noting that "the Iraqi Forces Alliance agrees to the region’s percentage, while Shiite forces reject it."
And on provincial projects, Hamdoun explained, "The provincial councils have had a great role in corruption in the governorates, as they have wasted the budgets of developing regions because they are within their powers."
And she continued, "There is no justice in the distribution of projects between governorates," indicating that "the ministries have not succeeded in completing strategic projects." Ended 29 / A 87
