    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Commerce reassured citizens about preparing them with the ration card items during the coming period, pointing to preparing a full meal of sugar and achieving great achievement rates in preparing edible oil.

    The ministry stated, in a statement that Al-Furat News received a copy of, that it had prepared "food agents with a meal of sugar, as well as achieving high rates of preparing edible oil as part of equipping citizens with the ration card items."
    She added, "The staff of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade succeeded 100% in preparing sugar for the first meal, in addition to achieving high rates in preparing edible oil for the provinces of the country."
    And the ministry continued, "The Minister of Commerce, Dr. Alaa Al-Jubouri, held a meeting for food companies, during which an integrated plan was prepared to provide citizens with the items of the ration card in full during the blessed month of Ramadan, in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister," indicating that "the meeting discussed all administrative, financial and logistical procedures in order to prepare the quota. Ration during the month of Ramadan. "
    The minister stressed, during the meeting, "the necessity of equipping all citizens at once from the four basic ration card items that the ministry prepares."
    He explained, "The ministry has prepared sugar and edible oil, and preparations are underway to prepare the third meal of flour, as well as contracting to purchase 36 thousand tons of edible oil to complete the first meal of this article."
    Al-Jubouri pointed out, “All the Ministry of Commerce’s devices are now alert for the purpose of completing the processing of the ration card items in preparation for the month of Ramadan, and that the ration card system will witness stability after directing the Prime Minister, and resolving the problems facing the Ministry of Trade, whether in the matter of the ministry’s exception in implementing government contracts and obtaining Financial allocations from the Ministry of Finance in a stable manner, to allow the Ministry of Trade to contract to purchase quantities of foreign sources, as well as to contract for the purchase of oil and sugar from local origins and the presence of local wheat marketed by farmers and peasants.
    The minister assured the citizens that "the items of the ration card will differ from its predecessors, and the processing mechanisms will witness stability, after resolving the obstacles related to financial allocation and excluding the ministry from the instructions of government contracts, which directed the prime minister to remove the obstacles before the ministry to facilitate the provision of the ration card items."
