    (Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, discussed with the Indian ambassador to Iraq, Pirandar Singh Yadav, cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, especially those related to the regulation of Indian labor conditions.

    According to the statement of his office, Al Furat News received a copy of it, that "during the meeting, a memorandum of understanding presented by the Indian side was discussed with regard to mechanisms of cooperation and exchange of experiences in the fields of interest to the ministries of labor in the two friendly countries and the Indian employment file, while a detailed explanation was given about India’s Experience in Helping Vulnerable Groups through the Indian (Ciba) Organization.
    Al-Rikabi stressed "the commitment to Iraqi laws regarding Indian workers and their official arrival, especially for those who have experience in the field of state housing and people with disabilities, and the completion of income-generating programs and projects, as well as in the field of training on trades, especially those related to women after obtaining work licenses and entry visas from the authorities."     For his part, the Indian ambassador praised the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Labor in legislating laws aimed at developing the aspect of youth employment and exchanging experiences, expressing his full readiness to abide by and implement Iraqi laws.
