(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Adel Al-Rikabi, confirmed that a large number of beggars have become a system, headed by what he described as a "contractor", while identifying the ways in which foreign workers entered the country.
Al-Mukhtasar al-Mufid .. In important news, you can find it on the Al Furat News channel on the Telegram .. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Al-Rikabi said in a televised interview that “most of the foreign workers entered through companies or religious tourism, or through the Kurdistan region,” stressing that “the foreigner is not supposed to enter the country in the field of work, except with the approval of the ministry, and with a permit for official work in accordance with the law, and this What did not happen. "
He pointed out that "many foreign workers have their residency expired, and this is an opportunity for the Iraqi worker to be seized by the foreign worker, and foreign workers have various problems, including security and social," adding: "We succeeded in setting up a committee of the Ministry of Labor in the Department of Residency, and it is assumed that the entry visa will only be given by a ministry." Work is there and familiar with it, to defend the rights of Iraqi workers. "
On the subject of begging, the minister emphasized that "the matter is not just a pension, and a large part of beggars have become a system," noting that "a car comes and drops off beggars somewhere, and takes them at the end of the day, and that is why the issue has become commercial."
He pointed out that "the employee in the Ministry of Labor cannot deter them, and this matter needs security intervention, and we have requested the formation of a security committee in each governorate to follow up the issue, such as headed by a National Security Agency officer in the concerned governorate," noting that "not all beggars are of this kind." But a high percentage of them are behind them. "
Al-Rikabi added, "We have formed committees that go to intersections and public squares, but they are also not enough. I will visit the Minister of Interior and National Security next week, to form an integrated team, because we need the intervention of the security services in order to deal with this dangerous file."
He added, "The ministry continues its efforts to uncover needy beggars or those associated with organized bodies," Al-Rikabi said, "The ministry will present to them offers to provide interest-free loans and social protection salaries, and through this method, we will discover who is associated with a system, or is really in need of begging."
