The Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Affairs has warned of the high number of foreign workers in Iraq, which contribute to the exit of more than four hundred million dollars per month from the country, which affects the Iraqi economy.
The committee stated that the approximate number of foreign workers in Iraq ranges between six hundred thousand to eight hundred thousand foreign workers, and indicated that the mechanism of entry of foreign workers needs a comprehensive review, especially since the entry of those large numbers negatively affected the economy and caused an increase in the number of the unemployed.
