    {Local: Al Furat News} The Minister of Planning, Khaled Batal Al-Najm, discussed today, Wednesday, the Turkish ambassador to Iraq, Ali Reza Günay and his accompanying delegation, a number of files and issues related to bilateral relations between the two countries.

    A statement by the ministry, which the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of, said that the two sides "discussed the water file, and the understandings that occurred in this aspect, which witnessed a positive development that will lead to addressing the problems surrounding this file."
    The two parties also discussed the "railway link project between Iraq and Turkey across the border area of ​​Rabia, and the importance of this project in improving the levels of trade exchange and advancing the pace of development in the two countries."
    The statement continued, "The meeting also witnessed discussion of the investment file, especially in the housing sector, and the possibility of attracting Turkish investments in this sector, due to the great need for housing units in Iraq."
    The Minister of Planning pointed out that "there are good investment opportunities in the port of Al-Faw, which includes 25 berths," calling on Turkish investors to "take advantage of these important opportunities."
    In a related matter, the two sides discussed trade relations between the two countries and mechanisms for strengthening those relations, in a manner that achieves the interests of the two friendly peoples.
