The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, considered, on Saturday, that Iraq has great entitlements in preparing for a new political contract, stressing that the country suffers from serious political bottlenecks.

Saleh said in his speech during the "Bahr al-Ulum" forum for dialogue held in Baghdad, that "Iraq has great obligations in preparing for a new political contract. The country suffers from serious political bottlenecks that need solutions that are out of the ordinary."

He added that "it is important to benefit from the academic elites, universities and research centers in this regard," noting that "the Iraq project must be a national project from within through the establishment of a capable and respected state that serves its citizens and harnesses the country's resources to serve them and be in security with its people and its neighborhood."
