    Baghdad/National News Center
Oil Minister, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar, confirmed today, Monday, that Iraq is committed to its agreement with OPEC +, indicating that he does not want oil prices to rise to a higher level than the current one.
"We are committed to our agreement with OPEC +, and we believe that an agreement will be reached soon," Abdul-Jabbar said in a statement to Reuters.
"We do not want a price war and we do not want oil prices to rise above current levels," he added.
"We support the extension of the current agreement until the end of 2022 and a gradual increase in oil production," Abdul-Jabbar added.
The Minister of Oil announced Iraq's support for Saudi Arabia's proposals to maintain the balance of oil markets until the end of 2022.
