    Today, Thursday (June 27, 2024), the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Assadi, directed the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety to intensify inspection tours of work sites to follow up on the implementation of occupational safety procedures and ways to prevent, especially from sunstroke and heat stress.
    The ministry’s media said in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “Al-Asadi stressed the importance of continuing to introduce prevention and occupational safety guidelines in all work sites,” noting that “the Minister of Labor directed the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety to intensify inspection tours on work sites to follow up on the implementation of safety procedures.” Professionalism and methods of prevention, especially from sunstroke and heat stress.
    Al-Asadi pointed out, according to the statement, “We must recommend to all workers, especially as we enter the hot summer atmosphere, the necessity of following occupational health and safety guidelines in order to ensure their safety and protect them from occupational diseases, environmental risks, pollution, and stress in various sectors of work.”
