    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee called on the government to rectify the problem that occurred due to stopping the central appointment of graduates from the medical group, while indicating the intention to amend the medical progression law. [/rtl]
[rtl]The head of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee, Majid Shankali, said that the number of job grades allocated to the health sector in the 2024 budget tables reached 29,000 thousand grades, indicating that between 900 to 1000 grades will be allocated to the top tiers and they will be appointed in the Ministry of Higher Education. [/rtl]
[rtl]Shankali added that the remaining 28,000 degrees were allocated to the Ministry of Health, indicating that hospitals need approximately 33,000 job degrees from graduates of medical and health professions.  [/rtl]
[rtl]Shankali criticized the failure to notify private universities of the intention to stop the central recruitment of the medical group, which caused a particular problem for graduates who had studied for years and paid amounts amounting to 40 million dinars, in the hope of being appointed.  [/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, that the Parliamentary Health Committee decided to amend the medical progression law, so that appointments would be according to the need for those enrolled in this year’s studies.[/rtl]
