The House of Representatives clarified, on Wednesday, the reason for not resolving important laws.
The parliament member, Salim Shawshaka, said that "all laws - even those that have only one step left to vote on - will be carried over to the next parliamentary session," noting that "the failure of the House of Representatives to meet was a major reason for suspending voting and proceeding with the approval of these laws." .
He added, "Political conflicts have delayed the adoption of many important laws that the people need at this stage, including information crimes and the retirement and social security law, which are considered among the most important social laws at this stage because of their significant impact on the lives of citizens."
He continued, "There are also laws that have an impact on different levels in the economy, security and stability, including the law of partnership between the private and public sectors, and other security laws that regulate the work of the security forces, including the law of the Ministry of Defense, the Intelligence and National Security Agency, the oil and gas law, and official holidays that were postponed from previous parliamentary sessions."
