{Political: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Saturday, its endeavor to return Iraqi refugees from four countries, announcing at the same time allocating funds to facilitate the return of those stranded at the Belarusian border.
The ministry's spokesperson, Ali Abbas Jahakir, said in a statement, "The allocation of funds to the Iraqis stranded at the Belarusian border, came during international discussions held by the ministry with the United Nations mission and the High Commissioner for Refugees, as a contribution to resolving their crisis."
He added, "During the talks, it was also emphasized to deal with migrants on the Belarusian, Polish and Lithuanian borders there, in accordance with international standards, and respect for human rights principles, in addition to providing the services that should be provided to them."
He pointed out, "The ministry is working to alleviate the suffering of refugees, preserve their lives, and ensure that those countries deal with them in accordance with international laws and standards," noting that "an invitation has been sent to United Nations organizations, in order to support them."
