[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / - The Minister of Transport, Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, inspected, today, Friday, the submerged tunnel project, to review the stages of completion and progress in work.
During the visit, the minister said, according to a statement by the ministry: "The project has reached advanced stages of completion to prepare the Silk Road through the Iraqi Dry Canal," noting: "The FAO projects are a qualitative leap that makes Iraq at the forefront of developed countries."
Al-Shibli stressed the importance of increasing momentum and support for all the projects of the General Company for Ports of Iraq, especially those related to the great port of Faw.
He explained: "There has been remarkable progress in the tunnel basin, and the Korean company is preparing for the drilling process to lay concrete blocks for the tunnel."
And the Minister of Transport stated: "This project will have a significant impact on the advancement of the country's economy and the development of the economic and commercial reality, as it is one of the giant roads linking the East and the West. It will affect openness to the countries of the whole world and raise the reality of trade exchange, and it will match the major projects in the countries of the world."/ Ended 9[/rtl]
