A member of the Southern Mosul Tribal Council, Khaled al-Jubouri, confirmed on Sunday that Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi used public money to expand his influence.
Al-Jubouri told "Al-Maalouma" agency that "Al-Halbousi strengthened his influence by deceiving citizens and employing them in fake jobs in the departments of education, the Sunni endowment, and others."
He added that "Al-Halbousi and his party made use of these methods to strengthen their influence in Nineveh and the rest of the liberated provinces, and the coordinating framework must address this matter, as it is the only force on which hope is held."
Muhammad al-Halbousi was voted as Speaker of Parliament in the new session, despite the legal grievances over the session. Ended 25 a.m.
