The economic expert, Dia Mohsen, considered, on Saturday, the call of the head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, to activate the Chinese agreements and the Silk Road “a good step,” noting that Al-Hakim’s statements are a renewal of the political and popular will, indicating that there are still some political forces standing against its implementation.
Mohsen said in a statement to "The Information", that "the only opportunity to restore infrastructure and develop investments in all economic sectors lies in implementing Chinese agreements and placing them within the program of the next government."
He added, "Al-Hakim's call for the next government to activate the Chinese agreements and the Silk Road with a good step and a renewal of the political and popular will that will bring to Iraq great economic gains away from American pressures and the International Monetary Fund," noting that "there are still some political forces that stand against their implementation."
The head of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, had confirmed during a speech he delivered at the official memorial ceremony on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim, that the Chinese agreement and the Silk Road are among the strategic files that the next government must activate, noting that confronting the economic crisis is our first priority.
