    Earth News/ Today, Monday, the Council of Ministers announced the provision of financial grants to Najaf Governorate.
    And the General Secretariat of the Council stated in a statement received by Earth News, that “the Council of Ministers voted, in its regular fifth session, held on February 1, 2022, on the contribution of the Central Bank of Iraq, according to its law, the Trade Bank of Iraq, and the Media and Communications Commission, in providing financial grants. mentioned in the below to Najaf Governorate; To advance the service reality of the province, through the Central’s contribution to an amount of five billion dinars and the same from the Iraqi Trade Bank, in addition to ten billion from the Media and Communications Commission, as well as the allocation of the Iraqi National Oil Company ten billion dinars from the exploration patches to the province of Najaf to implement development work in the province, in coordination with it.”
    The statement added, "The council's vote also stipulated that the General Company for Communications and Informatics, one of the Ministry of Communications companies, would pay five billion dinars to the Najaf Governorate, provided that it be settled from the debt owed by the aforementioned company in favor of the Ministry of Finance."
    And he added, "The Najaf Governorate will undertake the necessary contracts, as an exception to the contracting methods stipulated in the instructions for implementing government contracts."

    He pointed out that “the council also voted to form a working group headed by a representative of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the membership of the Prime Minister’s Adviser, Dr. Sabah Abdul Latif Mashtaat, and representatives from the ministries of (Planning, Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works), and Najaf Governorate; To undertake the follow-up of the implementation of the decisions of the Council of Ministers, and the recommendations of the Ministerial Council for Social Services in the Najaf Governorate exclusively.
