Earth News/ The leadership of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Rabiha Hamad, revealed today, Wednesday, the possibility of changing the Union's candidate for the presidency of the Republic, Barham Salih.
Hamad said in an interview with Earth News, "Dialogues regarding the formation of the government are underway, and the problem is not only the problem of the presidency, but the main problem is the composition of the government and the identification of a person as prime minister."
She added, "The Shiite blocs have not yet agreed on the type of government formation. Is it a national majority government, as the Sadrist bloc claims, or a consensus government according to the demands of the coordination framework."
Hamad continued, "Agreement on the President of the Republic is possible, and so far the candidate of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is Barham Salih."
She stressed that "in the event that political demands increase the change of Barham Salih, the National Union, with its flexible policy, can understand this issue and move forward with what serves the interest of all."
