, the Federal Integrity Commission announced, on Wednesday, that it had carried out two seizures of "manipulation, fraud and waste of public money" in the retirement and municipality directorates in the governorates of Karbala and Muthanna.
And the Commission's Investigation Department stated, "The work team of the Karbala Investigation Office, which moved to the Directorate of Retirement in the province, seized 9 of the decisions of the Martyrs' Families Request Committee, photos of registration and a death certificate in the directorate." Indicating, "The inclusion of deceased people in the privileges of the Martyrs Foundation through the manipulation of the Hajj and the death certificate, which led to their heirs obtaining plots of land, real estate grants, and financial subsidies of nearly 500 million dinars, according to the Martyrs Foundation's database, which caused a waste of public money."
The department added, in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "in a second operation, the Muthanna Investigation Office team was able to detect scratches and crosses in the record of allocating 65 plots of land in the Samawah Municipality Directorate," pointing to "
The department indicated that "the organization of two fundamentalist arrest reports in the operations that were carried out, based on judicial notes, and presented to the judges of the Investigation Court specialized in integrity issues in Karbala and Muthanna, to take appropriate legal measures."
