Earth News/ The head of the caretaker government, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, called today, Sunday, to work on completing the survivors' case, while calling on the political forces to re-calculate their accounts to cross this stage.
Al-Kazemi said, in a speech during the conference held on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the legislation of the Survivors’ Law and followed by Earth News, that a year after the Iraqi parliament approved the Yazidi Survivors’ Law, with reference and praise to the role of the government, Parliament and the Presidency of the Republic, in this context.
Al-Kazemi added, "The crime committed against the Yazidi women will remain a major disgrace in the history of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, and all the obscurantist groups that claim to rule with ideas that are out of time, which is evidence of the danger of their abolitionist ideology, and therefore we must work to prevent a recurrence of what happened." He stressed the need to "work together to prevent a recurrence of what happened, and this is only possible through good governance, and for the government to look for opportunities to build development so that there is no foothold for these terrorist groups."
Al-Kazemi explained that “this crime was a challenge to the global humanitarian position, and not only in Iraq, as there was sympathy and global human interaction with the tragedy of this crime,” adding that “we must” salute those who followed this issue in local, regional and international forums, and were able to transform it. To a humanitarian cause that does not belong to one group alone, but rather a humanitarian cause that reflects the solidarity of man with his fellow man.
And he stated, "The government and its security services are continuing their operations against everyone who participated in this crime, and we have succeeded in reaching large groups of these criminals; Now some of them are in prisons and others have been sentenced," stressing that "the government has taken it upon itself to prosecute and hold anyone who tried to underestimate Iraqi blood, wherever they are, inside or outside Iraq."
Al-Kazemi called for "developing all efforts and working to accomplish the issue of the survivors," noting that "the state needs additional legislation to protect the survivors and prevent a recurrence of what happened."
Al-Kazemi called on all political forces to "work to form a government that works as quickly as possible to serve its people, including the Yazidi survivors," noting that "respect for constitutional timings is respect for the constitution, respect for the logic of the state, and respect for people's needs."
Al-Kazemi pointed out that "we have to look for logical solutions that reflect the political maturity of everyone, and reflect a high degree of responsibility of the political forces regarding their duties by being in parliament or outside parliament," stressing the need to "work, that we all integrate to cross this dangerous stage."
Al-Kazemi called on the political forces to “recalculate in order to cross this stage, because today there is a global crisis, which is reflected in every part of the world, and in addition to this crisis, our region has enough complex and intertwined crises, this scene is dark yes, but there is hope, We can turn the scene into an opportunity for success and there is an opportunity, and this opportunity cannot be practically translated into a caretaker government.”
Al-Kazemi continued, "With courage and without any fear or apprehension, this government stands and assumes responsibilities, but this is not logical or realistic. and food security.”
Al-Kazemi concluded, addressing the national political forces by saying that "the citizen is our responsibility, the homeland is our responsibility, we have enough divisions, we must work for the country and move to a new stage for the future of Iraq and the sons of Iraq and our grandchildren.
