    Former parliament member Furat Al-Tamimi personified, on Sunday, three challenges facing Iraq’s land crossings with neighboring countries.

    Al-Tamimi said in an interview with "Information", "The land ports in all countries of the world represent a title for large financial revenues that feed their treasury with huge amounts of money, but the matter depends on the extent of transparency and the adoption of frameworks that prevent wasting public money in various forms."
    Al-Tamimi added, “The situation in Iraq’s land ports is complicated in light of the presence of influential forces trying to dominate and earn money in all ways and directions,” stressing that “manipulating weights, introducing materials that do not conform to technical specifications, smuggling, and the presence of parties trying to impose their will are all major challenges facing the work of land ports.” .
