Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - This morning, the Iraqi border guards established a new military post in a village near the border between Kurdistan Region and Turkey.
The point is located specifically near the village of "Haruri" in the "Barwari Bala" area in the "Kani Massi" district of the border district of Amadiyah in Dohuk governorate.
A source in the border guards told Kurdistan 24 that the new point "will be permanent and fixed", bringing the total points in the Barwari Bala and Sindi area to 30 points.
The source, who asked not to be named, added that the establishment of the points aims to expel the PKK militants from the border area where they were forming a pretext for the incursion of Turkish forces into Iraqi territory.
