The Security Council of the Region responds to the factions: Any aggression against Kurdistan will have a heavy price
Shafaq News/ The Security Council of Kurdistan Region responded to a statement issued by armed factions loyal to Iran accusing the region of training armed groups.
A statement of the Council received by Shafak News Agency stated; That "an illegal group called the Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee, which is clearly motivated by a certain party, made in a statement a number of baseless accusations against and threatens the Kurdistan Region."
The statement noted; He pointed out that "these threats are not new, and so far, in practice, in different regions of Iraq, they have done all they can of machinations and have resulted in only destruction and chaos for Iraq."
he continued; "Any aggression against the Kurdistan Region, which is a constitutional entity in Iraq, will have a heavy price," he said, noting that these factions "did not learn from history, otherwise they knew that a larger and more heavily armed force could not break the will of our people."
And he indicated that "these illegal groups pose a threat to Iraq's sovereignty and security, and they are the ones who paved the way for the growth of terrorism and extremist ideas."
He pointed out that "the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga forces are working together against the terrorists and these groups involved in conspiracies, chaos and destruction."

Earlier on Monday, the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Hoshyar Zebari, responded to a statement issued by the Coordination of the pro-Iranian factions that accused the Kurdistan Region.
Zebari wrote in a tweet to him on the micro-blogging site "Twitter" that "today's statement by the Coordinating Body for the so-called resistance against the Kurdistan Democratic Party is a lie in a lie in a lie."
He added that "they (the resistance coordination) should review their false information that threatens the security and safety of Iraq," and added: "They are false and irresponsible accusations."
The Coordination of the Resistance Factions said earlier on Monday; It monitored training operations for armed groups in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, as well as suspicious movements from internal tools to foreign agents, according to their statement.
