Today, Thursday, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Subhi Al-Mandalawi, confirmed that the call of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, to his allies in the "Save the Homeland" coalition and the independents, could be implemented if they were able to prevent the presidential election session.
Al-Mandalawi stated to the Tigris, that it is difficult for the coordination framework to hold a session of the Iraqi Council of Representatives to elect the President of the Republic.
He noted that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is responsible for the people and the region and sees the poplar as the best way to solve the crisis.
Today, Thursday, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called on the Sovereignty Alliance, the Democratic Party and the Independents to take a brave stance by announcing their withdrawal from Parliament.
And Saleh Muhammad al-Iraqi, (Sadr's minister), quoted the leader of the Sadrist movement as saying: "Some of the lovers are seeking, through legal means, to return (the Sadrist bloc) to Parliament."
He added: "Before I give my opinion on this issue, I say: The first desired result of their withdrawal was to block all the ways to agree with the so-called: (coordinating framework), as my example does not agree with them at all, then the return of the bloc to the House of Representatives has a possibility, even if weak in terms of Finding this consensus... and it is forbidden to us, and if it is prevented, their return will be a political blockage once again."
He explained: “If it is said: Their return is only for the sake of dissolving Parliament, not for the sake of agreement with them; I say: If we return, the solution must be satisfactory to our Sunni and Kurdish allies, and I do not think it is. , indicating: "We are aware of the many pressures on our allies...but sacrificing in order to end the suffering of an entire people is also commendable and required...the people, not the current, are the ones who refuse to rotate faces and re-manufacture a corrupt government again...the ball is in the allies' court, not in the Chest Block Stadium.
Regarding the final opinion on the issue of the Sadrist bloc’s return to the House of Representatives, al-Sadr said: “It is absolutely and absolutely forbidden, under any pretext, as he rejects the Fez without a government, neither eastern nor western, with a national majority, and we categorically reject a consensual government.”
He stressed that "the dissolution of Parliament is possible without the return of the Sadrist bloc, especially with the presence of its allies in the House of Representatives and some independents who so far are on the hill!!!
Therefore, I call on allies and independents to take a courageous stand that ends the entire crisis, and the solution at that time will not be current, but rather the dissolution of Parliament will be national: Sunni, Shiite, Kurdish and independent, so that the President and the Prime Minister remain at the head of a caretaker government and to supervise the early elections or with the help of others, Iraqis or internationals. .
He concluded: "From here, there is no need to resort to the current or framework in solving the problem, for the keys are with those who have the solution and the contract, not with the (politicized judiciary), nor with the (fearful courts), nor with the (withdrawing chest bloc)."
The political dispute reached its climax when the Sadrist movement began demanding more than a month ago the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the holding of early legislative elections in order to move the country on the path of reforms, in light of the rejection of its opponents in the coordination framework, this trend, and their insistence on forming a government before new elections.
The Green Zone in central Baghdad witnessed in the middle of last week, armed confrontations that lasted 24 hours between Sadr's supporters on the one hand, and the army and the Popular Mobilization forces on the other hand, which left more than 30 dead and hundreds wounded from the Sadrist movement's supporters, some of whom died a few days later from their wounds.
On September 28, the Iraqi judiciary is scheduled to consider a lawsuit filed against the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, because of his signature on the resignations of the Sadrist bloc’s deputies, in mid-June, as observers considered it a door to the possibility of the return of the 73 deputies.
