    On Sunday, the Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee proposed returning the housing abuse bill to the government.
    The Media Department of the House of Representatives said in a statement, "The Parliamentary Services and Construction Committee headed by Representative Mahma Khalil, head of the age, held a meeting today, in the presence of its members, and discussed the housing abuse bill and the proposed amendments to the bill."
    She added, "It was discussed to address the relevant authorities in the governorates to work on plans and data for all violators, whether on state buildings or public floors and non-residential areas."
    Khalil stressed, according to the statement, that "the proposal of a law to address residential abuses was presented far and away from the political aspect," noting that "the committee is working in a service and humanitarian direction towards the Iraqi citizen and to develop treatments by reconsidering the law to address random residential communities and what the reality and the text of the law regarding dealing with abuses entail." in particular, and the housing file in Iraq in general."
    According to the statement, members of the Services and Construction Committee studied the proposal of Representative Burhan Al-Maamouri to return the draft law to the government for the purpose of making amendments to it and sending it again to the legislative authority to proceed with the completion of the stages of legislation of the aforementioned law.
    Meanwhile, Representative Haider al-Jubouri stressed, "the necessity of amending the term rent with the term ownership, taking into account the organization of cities and reconsidering the designs that exceeded them to residential in order to treat those who occupy them for housing purposes among the citizens."
    The committee approved the proposal of its Chairman, Deputy Mahma Khalil, “to hold hearings by summoning the relevant authorities in planning, finance, housing and reconstruction, governorates and municipal councils to mature the amendments to the draft law in line with serving the citizen and preserving the prestige of the state and the public interest before submitting it for a second reading and including it on the agenda.” Parliament sessions.
