Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a press conference that "the conditions are ripe for conducting new negotiations between the two countries and for moving to the stage of political dialogue between Tehran and Riyadh."
Kanaani stressed that Iran and Saudi Arabia can cooperate in many fields if the bilateral negotiations are successful.
Previously, Tehran confirmed that the five rounds of negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia in Baghdad had made progress.
She pointed out that the Iraqi mediator played a positive role in the negotiations and their continuation and the transmission of messages between the two sides.
Tehran indicated that it hopes to achieve a new result of the resumption of relations with Saudi Arabia.
