Shafaq News/ The prominent Iraqi politician, former MP Mithal Al-Alusi, said today, Wednesday, that the participation of President Abdel Latif Rashid in the Sharm el-Sheikh conference and his sitting with Israel is the beginning of normalization.
Al-Alusi told Shafaq News Agency, "The Iraqi president's sitting with Israel at the Sharm el-Sheikh conference indicates Iraq's going towards sovereignty and choosing to reject war and normalization with Israel for the sake of peace and security for Iraq and the entire region," noting that "this sitting is the beginning of liberation from state pressure." ".
Al-Alusi suggested that "the coming period will witness new sessions between other Iraqi and Israeli officials," noting that "these sessions will be supportive of the cause of peace and normalization, like the rest of the Arab countries and the Gulf states."
Yesterday, Tuesday, Iraqi President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid returned to Baghdad after participating in the UN Climate Summit COP 27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, with the attendance of more than 130 countries.
