    Shafaq News/ The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani stressed, on Wednesday, the need for an understanding and a common vision to manage Iraq and its wealth, during his reception in Erbil, the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski.
     The presidency of the region stated in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, “During the meeting, they discussed the recent visit of the president of the region to Baghdad, his meeting with officials in the federal government, and work to consolidate the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad, and solve problems on the basis of the constitution and the federal system.”
    The statement added that the two sides stressed the need for “joint action between Erbil and Baghdad and the political parties, and they agreed on the need to support the new government in Iraq, stressing that the opportunity is ripe to solve Iraq's problems and implement the government programme.” 
    The two sides also stressed the need to implement the agreement between the federal government and the governments of the Kurdistan Region to normalize the situation in Sinjar and return the displaced to it. 
    Barzani stressed "the necessity of having understandings and a common vision on how to manage the country and its wealth and work to provide services to citizens and provide security and stability." 
    They also discussed the importance of preserving the border areas, coordination between Erbil and Baghdad in this regard, diversifying energy sources, encouraging foreign investment in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, the process of reorganizing the Peshmerga forces, and Iraq's relationship with neighboring countries.
