The Ministry of the Interior announced the arrest of people who were found in possession of fireworks, while indicating the tendency to tighten procedures against those who fired bullets and violators of the traffic law.
The ministry's spokesman, Major General Khaled Al-Mahna, said: "All fireworks are materials that are prohibited from importation, so we seized some violators who found these materials in their possession."
Al-Muhanna added, "The Ministry of Interior has another direction, which is the aspect of awareness and education, according to the law of supply and demand, as there are those who bring this commodity with the aim of profit because of the demand for it," noting that "the ministry seeks to reduce the demand for these games."
He added, "The indiscriminate firing of gunshots should be greatly emphasized by the leadership of the Ministry of Interior in the next stage," explaining that "there will be strict measures against violators of laws and regulations such as the traffic law."
