DEPUTY SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, SHAKHWAN ABDULLAH, VOWED TO TAKE LEGAL MEASURES AGAINST MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT WHO ARE ABSENT FROM THE PARLIAMENT'S SESSIONS.

Abdullah said in a press interview, "The meeting of the Presidency of Parliament, which was held last Friday, discussed the issue of the absence of some members of Parliament from parliamentary sessions."

He added, "There are deputies who participate in forums, meetings or conferences with the authorization of Parliament," noting that "on the other hand, there are members who are absent without a legal argument, and deterrent legal measures will be taken against them."

And last Friday, the House of Representatives stated in a brief statement, “The Presidency of the House of Representatives held an expanded meeting with the heads of parliamentary blocs to discuss issues and the agenda for the upcoming parliament sessions, as well as the illegal laws that exist in the permanent committees, and work to approve them within a specific timetable.”
