The ministry stated, in a statement received by[url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/133473/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%88%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9 %D9%86%D9%8A%D9%88%D8%B2/ar/]Alsumaria News[/url], that "the total number of registered private sector cars amounted to (7) million and (460) thousand cars until the end of 2021 in all parts of Iraq, including the Kurdistan region, which includes (permanent plates, and temporary examination plates) , and new plates (the national and parallel project), while the total number of cars for the year 2020 was about (7) million and (27) thousand cars, with an increase of (6%).
The ministry added that "the average number of cars registered for the year 2021 with all their plates reached (181) cars per (1,000) residents."[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Meanwhile, the total number of private sector cars registered in the General Traffic Directorate with all types of plates increased for each (km) of paved roads, except for the province of[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]to (127) cars / km.”
And she continued, “The number of (temporary inspection) cars registered in the private sector reached more than (345) thousand cars, while the percentage of cars bearing permanent plates reached (56%) of the total number of cars, including the region[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]As for the cars that carry (temporary inspection) plates, they amounted to (5%) of the total cars.
The ministry indicated that "the percentage of cars carrying (new plates) amounted to (39%) of the total number of private sector cars."
